Abstract

|
It is well known that the leiomyosarcoma of the small intestine is rare lesion but its incidence is increasing in accordance with the development of special staining methods of muscle fibers.
Two cases of leiomyosarcomas of the small intestine which induced intussusception are reported.
A brief account of the experiences of others with these rare lesions has been reviewed.
The common symptoms, the spread and the present thoughts on the treatment of leiomyosarcoma of the small intestine have been discussed.
